I’m Shu. I’ve been playing Vynnset as my main ever since Heavy Hitters was released, and I’ve been around the Korean Flesh and Blood scene since FaB first started finding its footing here.

So, first of all: I’m incredibly excited that Seoul is finally hosting a major Flesh and Blood event.

For once, I do not have to spend money on flights and hotels to play cards.

Thank god.

As part of the FaB community, and as someone who has invited friends from around the world to my hometown a few times, I wanted to write a small tour guide for everyone visiting Korea for World Premiere: Seoul.

This is not an official travel guide.

This is more like a note from a local friend who wants you to have a good event weekend, eat well, not get lost, and maybe fall in love with Seoul a little bit.

At the time I’m writing this, World Premiere is still roughly a month away. If you have not booked your hotel yet, hopefully this guide helps before you lock anything in — where you stay will change both your commute and what kind of Seoul trip you get.

TL;DR

KINTEX 2 is not really Seoul, so check your commute before booking a hotel.

For convenience, stay near KINTEX/Ilsan.

For the best trip, stay around Hongdae/Sinchon.

For old Seoul, stay around Jongno/Euljiro/Myeongdong.

For Gangnam, visit once — but do not sleep there for the event unless you enjoy paying blood debt.

Use Naver Map or KakaoMap.

In September, Seoul is best at night. Walk Gyeongui Line Forest Park, drink in Euljiro, visit Seongsu, go from Mullae to Yeouido Han River, or let Itaewon create side quests.

If you want one serious culture stop, visit the National Museum of Korea and the Room of Quiet Contemplation. The permanent exhibitions are free.
